Transitional Kindergarten

The Transitional Kindergarten Program is an educational opportunity for parents who choose to delay their child’s entrance to kindergarten (young 5) so their child may reach their full potential.

It could also be an alternative to the Pre-K  (4s) program for children who turn 5 between September 2nd and November 1st.  These children must be able to pass the assessment interview to enroll in the TK

Program Benefits:
Christian Environment
Experienced Teachers with Education Degrees
Developmentally Appropriate Curriculum
Individual Learning Styles
Group Dynamics
Development of Independence
Hands on Experiences
Small Class Size
Curriculum

The TK Program uses both the TEKS (Texas Essential Knowledge & Skills) and the scope and sequence of Saxon Math and Zoo Phonics as a basis for the curriculum instruction.  Lessons are developed from various resources to expand upon these concepts.  Concepts are taught through manipulating hands-on materials, teacher lead discussions, group activities and independent practice.
